Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you’ll do at work

  • Learn how to set up, operate and maintain CNC machines and equipment to perform machine functions.
  • Learn how to accurately input control instructions to run CNC machines.
  • Learn how to take accurate measurements to ensure good working conditions of machines.
  • Understand how Health & Safety legislation is compiled within a working context.
  • Learn how to manage tool data.
  • Learn to check if specifications match the CNC programmes.
