About this company

We invite you to join our practice founded over 20 years ago, with the aim of bringing mechanical, electrical and environmental disciplines together to develop and deliver innovative solutions to our clients. As an apprentice you will have the opportunity to learn from our highly experienced engineers on multiple live projects on live sites, as well as class-based learning delivered by London South Bank University. You will be an integral part of the team at BSP based in our office in the vibrant town centre of Bromley, SE London, which is 20 minutes away from central London by train. Our design work includes systems such as renewable and emerging technologies, energy management, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, drainage, lighting, power, water services, building management systems, life-safety systems, communications and building transportation (e.g. lifts). Buildings and infrastructure take on many forms from newly built facilities to the refurbishment of premises for every sector of industry. We are chartered mechanical and electrical design engineering consultants with decades of experience in the built environment, and you will experience the same activities as we do on a day to day basis.

After this apprenticeship

We will continue to support you on your professional path from Incorporated Engineer to Chartered Engineer with the Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE) and developing yourself and others as you grow into your career. One of our engineers will be formally assigned to support you in achieving the necessary engineering and management competencies required as part of the chartership programme. We also hold annual appraisals which provide both the employee and management the opportunity to assess their progress over the past 12 months and identify goals and objectives to fulfil over the next year. The aim of this process is to support junior engineers to become more independent and motivated to progress in their careers and responsibilities, which is then reflected in salary reviews.
