Summary

As part of our long-term strategy to be the best automotive company in the UK, we are looking to recruit talented people to join our Ellesmere Port site as an Adv Multi Skilled Apprentice in Engineering. This involves a 4 year apprenticeship program at Level 3, with the potential opportunity to progress to Higher Education at Degree level.

Work

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work

Engineering is the process of designing and making the machinery for products of everyday life and ranges from low to high tech industries and includes mechanical engineering, fabrication, machining, electrical engineering and electronics and control engineering.

  • Regular attendance at North West Training Council will be required as per below;

    Year 1 “Off the job” training at college mainly (paid employment)
    Years 2, 3 and 4 – “On-the-job” training with college attendance 1 day per week.

  • As part of the apprenticeship programme apprentices rotate through each of the maintenance engineering departments within the plant providing them with significant opportunities to expand their operational and technical skills and knowledge

Essential qualifications

GCSE in:

  • English (grade A-C)
  • Maths (grade B/5 or above)
  • Science (grade A-C)

Desirable qualifications

Other in:

  • Engineering (grade C/5 or above)
