Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
Working closely with the business owner and administrative team, you’ll play a key role in supporting the wider business by maintaining and analysing employee and customer data. You will also ensure compliance with policies and regulations, and contribute to the overall efficiency of the HR department at Bremadent Dental Laboratory.
This apprenticeship will provide hands-on experience and the opportunity to develop essential skills in data management, communication and HR operations. - Data Management: Accurately input, update and maintain employee records, ensuring data integrity and compliance with GDPR regulations.
- Reporting and Analysis: Generate customer and employee reports, analysing the data to provide insights that support the businesses decision making process.
- HR Administration: Assist with general HR administrative tasks, including managing employee files, tracking attendance and processing documentation.
- System support: Support with the implementation and optimization of systems and tools.
- Compliance: Ensure all data processes adhere to company policies and legal requirements.
- Communication: Respond to queries from employees, managers and customers, providing clear and helpful information. Support with staff concerns and dispute resolution.
- Recruitment: Assist with recruitment, onboarding and general HR administration.
- Learning and development: Actively participate in co-ordinating training and development activities, completing coursework and assessments for the level 3 qualification.

- Clean data i.e. remove duplicates, typos, duplicate entries, out of date data, parse data (e.g. format telephone numbers according to a national standard) and test and assess confidence in the data and its integrity.

Your training plan
Over 17 months, you’ll devote a minimum of 6 hours of your working week on ‘off the job’ training. This can include theory training (for example, virtual lessons & online learning), alongside practical training (for example shadowing, mentoring, & time spent writing assignments. Together this will count towards a Level 3 Data Driven Professionals apprenticeship. You’ll be trained by an expert tutor from Tiro as well as an experienced mentor at AF Fasteners who together, will make sure you develop the knowledge, skills, and work habits you’ll need to succeed in your career.
