Summary
Working within the fast-paced environment of HGV training as part of a close Team. We are looking for an enthusiastic apprentice to work within customer services dealing with applications, speaking directly with applicants and ensuring the smooth running of training courses.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
- Processing applications received for skills bootcamps
- Liaising with applicants to make sure that we have all of the relevant information and documents to process their applications
- Working with applicants who are training to ensure that they keep their training paperwork up to date
- Assisting in the scheduling of courses
- Ensuring vehicles and fully prepped and ready to deliver training courses

Course contents
- Use a range of questioning skills, including listening and responding in a way that builds rapport, determines customer needs and expectations and achieves positive engagement and delivery.
- Depending on your job role and work environment: Use appropriate verbal and non-verbal communication skills, along with summarising language during face-to-face communications; and/or
- Depending on your job role and work environment: Use appropriate communication skills, along with reinforcement techniques (to confirm understanding) during non-facing customer interactions.
- Depending on your job role and work environment: Use an appropriate ‘tone of voice’ in all communications, including written and digital, that reflect the organisation’s brand.
- Provide clear explanations and offer options in order to help customers make choices that are mutually beneficial to both the customer and your organisation.
- Be able to organise yourself, prioritise your own workload/activity and work to meet deadlines.
- Demonstrate patience and calmness.
- Show you understand the customer’s point of view.
- Use appropriate sign-posting or resolution to meet your customers needs and manage expectations.
- Maintain informative communication during service recovery.
Your training plan
Customer Service Practitioner Level 2.
Training will be through Taunton & Bridgwater college. This will mean attending the college on Mondays every 3-4 weeks.

Other requirements
There will be some elements of working outside around the vehicles to ensure that they are fully prepped and ready to deliver training. This will include some cleaning duties. No heavy lifting. Full safety training will be given to ensure safety with vehicles is paramount.
About this company
Ellisons are the number one name in driver training in the region delivering training for everything from cars to HGV. This position is particularly working within the commercial department who give training in Lorry and bus driving.

We are looking for someone who is hungry to learn and develop to make the customer services advisor their position with the ability to continually grow their responsibilities and managing this part of the business.
This Is a long term position for the right candidate after completing the apprenticeship.
