Summary

We are looking for a bright, naturally curious individual to join our friendly team of administrators to help with the day-to-day running of a busy practice of Financial Advisers.

£16,000 a year

£16,000 per annum Annual salary reviews in January Free parking 20 days holiday + Bank Holidays for first 3 years rising to 25 days

Work

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work

  • Answer and direct phone calls providing polite & professional communication
  • Greet & assist visitors to the office
  • Dealing with incoming & outgoing post
  • Action email requests from advisers & clients
  • General office duties e.g. filing & photocopying
  • Book meeting rooms, hotels, taxis etc.
  • Conduct accurate data entry

With further training, the apprentice’s role will also expand to include:

  • Client valuations
  • Client investment/pension withdrawals
  • Assist in the preparation of regular annual review letters & reports
  • Preparation of documents to accompany adviser’s recommendations i.e. illustrations, application forms & comprehensive suitability reports

  • Fully and part funded learning and development programme that includes the CF1 Financial Services Regulation and Ethics
  • Develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours of successful Financial Services Administrators
  • Free CII membership for non-members through the CII Aspire Apprenticeship Programme

  • CII and EPA resits are to be covered by the employer
  • Fortnightly workshops for the CF1 exam from our CII approved trainer

Essential qualifications

GCSE or equivalent in:

  • Maths and English (grade 4/C or above)

After this apprenticeship

Progress to Paraplanner Apprenticeship available once Financial Administrator Apprenticeship successfully completed. Alternatively, full study support package available for candidates to continue studying with a long-term (3 to 5 years) option to move into Paraplanning and/or advising (either mortgage or full advice).
