Summary

Coastline Housing has an exciting opportunity to join our team as an apprentice. You will undertake a level 2 qualification in roofing, whilst gaining hands-on skills and experience.

Upon completion of the first year of the apprenticeship, salary will be increased for over 18's in line with Living Wage Foundation.

Work

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work

  • All duties relating to roofing replacements on the planned roofing program
  • Ensuring works are carried out in the most cost-effective and efficient manner
  • Attending college (one week per month at St. Austell college) to learn the roofing trade through practical tasks and theory lessons, also to complete a portfolio of evidence in the workplace and receive assessment visits from a qualified assessor
  • The care and condition of company vehicles and equipment in accordance with relevant policies
  • Any other duties consistent with the grade and general responsibilities of the post, as may be required from time to time by nature of changes to the business or the need to develop new streams of work
