Work

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work

Understanding processes, implementing, maintaining, and improving manufacturing services with a focus on adding value.

Contributing to the efficiency of the organisation through supporting functional areas.

     Working effectively with teams.

     Resolve issues as requested.

     Demonstrate strong communication skills.

     Adapt a proactive approach to developing skills.

Throughout the first year of the apprenticeship, you will spend valuable time within all departments of the business, including but not limited to, Production, Process, Warehouse, Printing & Q C Lab.

Training will involve all aspects of Lean manufacturing, including Health & Safety , Environmental, Production, Communication, Quality Systems, Performance Measurements & Problem Solving.

Your training plan

Training will take place at our premises in Whaley Bridge, with sessions every 2-3 weeks during the working day. Our training provider Qualitrain are experts in Lean Manufacturing and have been delivering this course for 5 years across many industries in England.

More training information

Our training program is very varied with the apprentices rotating around most of the departments within the organisation. This will help them understand how we work and what we are trying to achieve in the UK areas of the business.

You will achieve a Level 2 Diploma in Manufacturing as well as the Level 2 Lean Manufacturing Operative apprenticeship.

Lean skills are very valuable to any business, the skills you learn will help you as you develop your career within our business.

GCSE in:

During the second year of the apprenticeship, you will spend further time working across various departments within the business. However, your activities will be tailored towards your strengths and preferences, and the businesses requirements.
