Summary

To assist the Engineering & Estates department in maintaining and updating records, certificates and planned maintenance systems. You will work with colleagues to ensure our Maximo Application Suite is administered correctly and provide support to users, while working towards completing the L3 Digital Support Technician apprenticeship qualification

Work

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work

  • Ensure Maximo is administered correctly.
  • Lead/assist in development of Maximo planned maintenance systems projects.
  • Provide support to Maximo users.
  • Draw up planned maintenance and other Maximo data items and input to Maximo.
  • Use initiative to identify and implement quick, effective solutions to problems associated with planned maintenance, certification and Maximo in general. 
  • Undertake academic study required of apprenticeship. 

    Measures of success:
  • Maximo planned maintenance systems reflection against requirements.
  • Maximo functionality upgrades implemented on time without unplanned negative impact on users.
  • Successful completion of apprenticeship.
  • General requirements:
  • Maintain a high standard of individual performance, in terms of accuracy of data input/analysis and effective written/oral communication skills.
  • Ensure correct standard of dress and cleanliness. Name badge to be on person.
  • Display a positive and flexible attitude towards work and all staff.

Other requirements

It is a requirement to have five GCSE 9-4 grades or equivalent (including English and Maths) to apply for this type of apprenticeship.
