Summary
We are now looking for an Apprentice Chartered Accountant to join our team in Axminster starting September 2025. Training to become a Chartered Accountant is both rewarding and challenging and can open up huge opportunities for you; many of our staff started their career as trainees with us and have stayed with us throughout their working life.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
You will undertake both practical and theoretical training whilst studying for your ACA qualification under an apprenticeship agreement.
We will fund your training and provide you with paid study leave to attend the courses so you will be earning while you are learning.
You will get support from more experienced staff and Partners whilst assisting on client assignments.
Some of the duties will include preparing financial statements for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders; auditing financial statements and tax compliance work to mention just a few.
You will have the opportunity to visit clients’ premises to carry out your role and your work will be a mixture of teamwork and projects undertaken individually.

- Accountancy or taxation professional level 7 standard
- You will undertake both practical and theoretical training whilst studying for your ACA qualification under an apprenticeship agreement
- Apprentices without English or Mathematics at Level 2 must achieve this prior to the completion of the End Point Assessment
- Once you have completed the course you will be a qualified accountant. We will fund your training and provide you with paid study leave to attend the courses so you will be earning while you are learning
- You will also receive regular pay reviews

GCSE or equivalent in:
