Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
As an Apprentice Adult Care Worker, you’ll work closely with our dedicated team at Charter House Resource Centre to support adults with physical and learning disabilities, elderly individuals, and those with dementia. This role is designed to build your experience and skills in a person-centered care setting, with daily responsibilities that promote social inclusion and lifelong learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist service users in a range of activities designed to support lifelong learning in a respectful, person-centered manner.
- Help maintain a clean, welcoming, and safe environment for all.
- Prepare the centre for daily activities, including meeting and greeting service users on arrival.
- Prepare and serve meals and snacks, ensuring nutritional and dietary needs are met.
- Perform additional tasks as needed to support the centre and community-based activities.
This role provides fully supervised care experience and opens doors to skill-building for independent work in the future. As you develop a deeper understanding of adult care, you’ll gain the qualifications and experience to support you in potential roles within our organisation and beyond.
