Summary
This is a fabulous opportunity to work within a busy GP practise. This will involve providing a comprehensive and efficient reception and clerical support to the surgery to enable it to run efficiently and effectively maintaining a high standard of care to the patients. This is a demanding role, involving quick thinking, and confidentiality.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
- Meeting the varying demands/situations in respect of the patients
- Take part in the range of general receptionist duties as
needed - Flexibly contribute to all the receptionist’s workload as
directed by the manager - Ensure the reception and waiting areas are tidy and safe,
and provide a welcoming appearance to patients and
visitors - Team player with the ability to be flexible in which hours
you work from week-to-week and be willing to work above
the stated hours if needed - Demonstrate self-organisation and flexibility and the ability
to prioritise workload, working to strict deadlines - To communicate with staff and visitors daily, providing
support where required and working to help resolve any
issues - To record and securely store information relating to
confidential matters and enquiries

Customer Service Practitioner Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard:
- Apprentices will be allocated a Trainer Assessor and training will be planned and delivered in conjunction with the employer to meet the individual needs of the apprentice
- The apprentice will spend 20% of their working hours in off the job activities and training
- On the job and off the job training will be delivered in the
workplace

- Apprentices who have not achieved the equivalent of level 2 qualifications in maths and English, will need to achieve level 1
functional skills in these and work towards level 2 functional skills
