Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
Typical day as an apprentice:
- To undertake hands on training within the Engineering Department by working with experienced qualified existing members of staff
- To observe and learn how to be able to diagnose faults and carry out repairs on PCV Vehicles
- To assist members of the engineering team
- Learn how to repair basic faults through to more complicated repairs as your knowledge grows
- To embrace all opportunities of learning and developing
- To attend courses and further training
- To take control of the general housekeeping within the garage to ensure high levels of health and safety
