As part of our continued growth, we are looking to recruit an Apprentice PCV Technician join our existing engineering team in Sharston, Manchester. Join us on our expansion journey. Work

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work

Typical day as an apprentice:

  • To undertake hands on training within the Engineering Department by working with experienced qualified existing members of staff
  • To observe and learn how to be able to diagnose faults and carry out repairs on PCV Vehicles
  • To assist members of the engineering team
  • Learn how to repair basic faults through to more complicated repairs as your knowledge grows
  • To embrace all opportunities of learning and developing
  • To attend courses and further training
  • To take control of the general housekeeping within the garage to ensure high levels of health and safety

  • To attend Total People at The Manchester College as part of your apprenticeship when required - block release. Complete required coursework and have a dedicated tutor.
  • Level 3 Bus and Coach Engineering Technician
  • English and maths Level 2 (if the learner does not already hold these)
