This is a Monday to Friday (08:30 - 17:00) working week with one day being spent at college to gain the qualifications for this apprenticeship. Office hours are from Monday - Thursday and you will work from home on a Friday.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
You will work in the Southern Area office of a Tier 1 Construction Company in the Guilford Area.
- Supporting the procurement team in all aspects of the buying department of the business
- Checking and creating invoices
- Dealing with suppliers and sub-contractors regards their financial budgets, payments and any discrepancies
- Producing financial reports and schedules so that budgets are monitored accurately

This apprenticeship is a new Standard Qualification titled "Construction Support Technician" at Level 3 which is equivalent to A Levels. Day release to college on a 2-year programme. You will follow the Buyer pathway for this qualification.

GCSE or equivalent in:
- Maths, English and three other subjects (grade 4)

After this apprenticeship
- Typically, you would advance onto a 5-year program of training to gain a level 4, 5 & 6 qualification in a construction subject. Level 6 being a degree.
