Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
- Create Engaging Video Content: Produce high-quality short-form videos for social media stories and reels, as well as longer-form content for YouTube and our website
- Video Editing: Edit and repurpose video content to ensure it is engaging and suitable for different platforms and mediums
- Comfortable On-Camera: Present and feature in video content to engage with our audience in an authentic and relatable way
- Social Media Management: Participate in the delivery of our social media strategy, including scheduling posts, engaging with followers, and monitoring analytics
- Storytelling: Interview young people, volunteers, and staff to capture and share their stories in an authentic and inspiring way
- Campaign Support: Assist in the planning and executing marketing campaigns to promote our programs and events
- Collaborate: Work closely with our communications team and other departments to ensure consistent and impactful messaging

Essential qualifications
GCSE in:
- Maths and English (grade 4 or above)

Other requirements
You will have the following skills/interests: Creativity: You have a keen eye for design and a talent for crafting engaging and inspiring video content. Digital Savvy: Comfortable using social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube), video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve), and basic graphic design software (e.g., Canva, Adobe Spark). Comfortable On-Camera: Confident and engaging in front of the camera, with the ability to present content in a relatable and authentic manner. Passion for Youth Work: A genuine interest in supporting and empowering young people. Excellent Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills. Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team. Self-Motivated: Proactive and able to manage your own time effectively.

After this apprenticeship
The apprenticeship will last for 21-months (including 3-months for assessment, meeting the apprenticeship requirements). We cannot provide employment after this period, but you will have a transferrable qualification you will be able to use to progress your career in a range of sectors.
