Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work

Your role will include the following duties and responsibilities:
- Preparation of sole trader and partnership accounts
- Preparation of statutory accounts
- Administrative work – assisting with phone calls, email, etc
- Assistance with tax returns for Limited Companies and individuals

Training will be at North Lindsey College where you will access a wide range of facilities on offer.
Day release.
You will undertake the Assistant Accountant Level 3 standard.
You will undertake Functional Skills for English and/or maths if needed.
You will undertake both on and off-the-job training by a team of industry-qualified professionals to give you the best skills, knowledge and experience that will help you become an account of the future!

Other requirements
It is preferable that applicants have no previous accountancy experience, have recently finished their A' Levels this summer and/or are around the age of 18. You must be able to travel to and from work and college. Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training which is part of their apprenticeship. Successful completion of the apprenticeship could lead to a higher-level apprenticeship or full-time employment for the right candidate, in addition to becoming a member of the Association of Accounting Technicians. The route of becoming part of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants will be available to you after completion of this qualification.
