Summary
The apprentice will receive exposure to a variety of tasks across the practice whilst working across both the VAT team and the Accounts team, assisting in the preparation and delivery of a mix of services offered by the practice to clients from an array of different industries.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
Main Duties:
- Liaising with all internal and external stakeholders as necessary, including visiting clients to collect/drop off financial paperwork
- Inputting invoices and bank statements onto accounting software including Sage, Xero and Quickbooks
- Preparing analysis of transactions in Excel format
- Completing reconciliations of balance sheet items for both sole traders and Limited Companies
- Assisting our administration team with managing client records and organising when these can be returned to the client
- General Administrative tasks such as photocopying, filing, etc.
Other Duties:
- Complete training and certifications on relevant accounting software to ensure she is learning new skills
- To work effectively as part of a team to ensure tasks are completed efficiently
- To be aware of anti-money laundering (AML) requirements and ensure all clients are compliant with statutory financial regulations
- To set an example of personal integrity and professionalism
- Undertaking all tasks in accordance with company policies and procedures
- To undertake appropriate professional development, including attendance as necessary to enable full completion of the apprenticeship
