Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
Key Responsibilities:
Assessment and Evaluation:
- Assess learners in line with awarding body requirements and qualifications.
- Observe and assess practical skills in media, including video production, photography, and digital editing.
- Review and evaluate students' portfolios, assignments, and projects.
Feedback and Guidance:
- Provide constructive feedback on learner progress, identifying areas of improvement.
- Support learners in achieving their qualifications by helping them develop necessary skills and knowledge.
Administration and Documentation:
- Maintain detailed records of learners' progress, assessments, and achievements.
- Ensure all assessment paperwork is completed accurately and submitted in a timely manner.
Support and Mentorship:
- Work closely with learners to provide guidance on industry trends and best practices.
- Offer mentorship to help learners apply theoretical knowledge in practical, real-world media contexts.
Collaboration:
- Liaise with training providers, employers, and other stakeholders to ensure learners receive the necessary support.
- Attend standardization meetings and contribute to continuous improvement of the assessment process.
