Summary
We are looking to appoint a well rounded and enthusiastic individual to operate as the Academy's Receptionist and undertake the administration support as well as acting as a first point of contact for all visitors to the academy. The successful candidate will work within the administration team.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
- Serve as the first point of contact for all visitors, students, and staff, ensuring a welcoming and professional reception environment.
- Handle incoming calls, emails, and other inquiries, directing them to the appropriate departments or individuals as needed.
Manage the visitor sign-in process, ensuring adherence to the academy's security and safeguarding policies. - Provide administrative support to the academy, including data entry, filing, and managing correspondence.
- Assist the administration team with tasks such as scheduling appointments, organizing meetings, and maintaining records.
- Coordinate with staff and departments to ensure smooth communication and efficient workflow within the academy.
- Handle the distribution of mail and deliveries, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Maintain the reception area, ensuring it remains clean, organized, and presentable at all times.
- Support in the preparation of documents, reports, and other materials as required by the administration team.
- Assist with any ad-hoc administrative tasks or special projects as directed by senior staff.

About this company
Thistley Hough Academy is a mixed school catering for students aged 11-16 located in the village of Penkhull, Stoke-on-Trent. The Academy joined the Creative Education Trust in September 2013 and is now one of Stoke-on-Trent’s most improved schools and is graded as Ofsted ‘good’.
