Summary
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic Apprentice Teaching Assistant to join our successful SEN department. The successful candidate will demonstrate a passion for working with children with additional needs and are able to establish good relationships with students and recognise their individual needs.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
- Work closely with the class teacher to contribute to the management of student behaviour, maintain order and an appropriate working environment including implementation of the school’s behaviour policies.
- Establish and promote productive relationships with students acting as a role model and setting high expectations.
- Promote the inclusion of all students within the classroom and school.
- Support students by recognising their individual needs.
- Establish constructive relationships and communicate with other relevant staff to support students’ learning and progress.
- Effectively communicate the work set by the class teacher to the students and ensure that students are aware of the teacher’s expectations.
