Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
Key Responsibilities: -
- Assist with planning and preparing activities
- Support children with their personal, social and emotional development
- Ensure the importance of safeguarding children is upheld at all times
- Work as part of a team to maintain a positive and welcoming environment
- Provide feedback to parents and carers on children's development
Key Requirements:
- A desire to work with children and their families
- A positive attitude and good communication skills
- Ability to work well in a team
- Willingness to learn and undertake training
- A minimum of Grade 4 or above in maths and English GSCE (or equivalent)

After this apprenticeship
The successful candidate will start on the Level 3 qualification and potentially have the opportunity to progress into room leader roles, the option to start the Level 5 course would be considered.
