Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
- Assist in defining business requirements and identifying data science solutions to
meet those requirements. - Also assist in building and running of data products and services which deliver
continuous insight and value to staff and residents. - Be responsible for the creation of Power BI dashboards and data visualisations
aligned to project requirements to provide insight to the business. - Working with Data Scientist(s) to research new innovations and emerging
technology and to develop new data tools using modern data technologies and
platforms. - Assisting the Data Team to monitor and evaluate data products and processes to
meet productivity, security, data protection, and ethical needs. - Assist in collecting, cleaning and pre-processing data for analysis.
- Perform exploratory data analysis to uncover patterns, trends, and insights.
- Learning new things and helping people through applied curiosity and initiative.

It’s a hybrid delivery method combining online and in-person sessions. Apprentices mainly work with the university online using their platform (canvas) with their one day per week off the job learning. However they do attend in-person classes at our London campus, Devon House, St Katharine’s Docks one full week per academic year.

GCSE in:

- STEM subject (grade 3 A levels)
