Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

- Learning all aspects of welding equipment and machinery
- Mig welding

The apprentice will gain the following General Welder Level 2 qualification;

AWS D1.1 Structural Welding - Steel: Certification: American Welding Society, OR

AWS D1.2 Structural Welding Code - Aluminium: Certification: American Welding Society, OR

ASME Section IX, OR

ISO 9606 Qualification testing of welder, OR

ISO 14732 Welding personnel - Approval of welding operator, OR

BS4872 Specification for approval testing of welders when welding procedure approval is not required
Functional Skills Level 1 & 2 in English and maths will be provided for those without GCSE Grade 4/C (or equivalent) if required.
