Summary

You will work under the guidance of experienced production & engineering staff to learn and assist with various tasks. After gaining product knowledge there will be the opportunity to go into different areas of the business to build up your Textile process understanding which could lead to a variety of different roles.

Work

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work

  • Assist in production process
  • Learn equipment operation
  • Support quality control
  • Assist in all health & safety procedures
  • Support & learn from design engineers
  • Support to supply chain
  • Attend Calderdale College on day release basis and work towards the “Engineering Technician level 3 apprenticeship” which includes an “Engineering In Textiles” module
  • Some international travel is possible if involved with the installation and commissioning of products at customer sites
