Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
As a Motor Vehicle Apprentice you will required to carry out the following duties under supervision with training
Carry out services
Engine fault diagnostic
Suspension
Electrical faults
Change oil and filters
Steering components
Some inspection work

After this apprenticeship
On completion of this Standard the Auto-care Technician will be eligible to apply for IMI membership as a Registered Young Professional or if they wish as an Associate Member. They would also gain entry onto the IMI Professional Register. Work shop supervisor.
