Summary
Aspire Training Team are looking for an enthusiastic and hardworking individual to complete their Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship at Littleworld Day Nurseries. Within this role you will be required to support the children’s learning and development and ensure that safeguarding procedures are being followed at all times.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
- Responsible for welfare, learning and development of designated group of children
- Working with initiative and creativity to encourage child development
- Collaborate with the team in the planning of appropriate experiences for children, to meet the learning and development requirements of the EYFS Statutory Framework
- Participate in the planning, assessment, recording and reporting, in line with the requirements of the EYFS Statutory Framework
- Complete daily, weekly and termly updates to parents through the Parentzone online Learning Journal creating observations and assessments that show a high level of written English and attention to detail
- Take on the role of key person for a designated group of children-building nurturing relationships that enable you to gain an in depth knowledge of the needs and next steps of each child
- To support the nursery Positive Behaviour Management strategies with groups or individual children,understand and implement IEP’s, EHCP’s and other plans in place
- To support Communication and language development through the use of Language box and phonics sessions
- To build positive professional relationships with parents/carers and other professionals in line with the requirements of the EYFS Statutory Framework
- Take a shared responsibility for standards of safety, security hygiene, cleanliness and tidiness throughout the nursery
- Maintain the highest level of cleanliness and hygiene in bathroom, nappy changing, food preparation and service area
- To undertake any other tasks as requested by the Manager or Room Manager which are necessary for the smooth running of the nursery
- Take a shared responsibility for the care, maintenance and security of all equipment and toys within the nursery
