Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a Dental Studio in the Central Operations Department in our Head Office to provide support to the practices via email and telephone and manage the day to day activities required.

Work

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work

  • Ensure that all pricelists are properly maintained across all operational platforms (i.e. Websites, Dentally)

Utilise various different reporting platforms (i.e. Dentally, MPC, Call reposts ETC) to collate data for business reporting which includes but is not limited to;

  • Weekly consolidated reports, therapist trackers, call reports, dentist productivity rankings, dentist pay audits and competitions tracking

Attention to detail is extremely important to ensure stats shared are accurate and delivered on schedule

  • Assisting the central operations team to carry out ad-hoc tasks and audits as and when required
  • Collating and building our weekly huddle company communications and submitting to the centre ops Manager for sign-off
  • Working with the Operations Coordinator to maintain the training trackers for our courses
  • Support the implementation of new operational processes and feedback any issues/areas for further development that may be required

  • Maintain and update the NHS Choices website on a quarterly basis

Course contents
  • Skilled in the use of multiple IT packages and systems relevant to the organisation in order to: write letters or emails, create proposals, perform financial processes, record and analyse data. Examples include MS Office or equivalent packages. Able to choose the most appropriate IT solution to suit the business problem. Able to update and review databases, record information and produce data analysis where required.
  • Produces accurate records and documents including: emails, letters, files, payments, reports and proposals. Makes recommendations for improvements and present solutions to management. Drafts correspondence, writes reports and able to review others' work. Maintains records and files, handles confidential information in compliance with the organisation's procedures. Coaches others in the processes required to complete these tasks.
  • Exercises proactivity and good judgement. Makes effective decisions based on sound reasoning and is able to deal with challenges in a mature way. Seeks advice of more experienced team members when appropriate.
  • Builds and maintains positive relationships within their own team and across the organisation. Demonstrates ability to influence and challenge appropriately. Becomes a role model to peers and team members, developing coaching skills as they gain area knowledge.
  • Demonstrates good communication skills, whether face-to-face, on the telephone, in writing or on digital platforms. Uses the most appropriate channels to communicate effectively. Answers questions from inside and outside of the organisation, representing the organisation or department.

  • Your training plan

    • In addition to gaining practical experience in the role, you will also attain an NVQ Level 3 Business Admin qualification which will help start your career and give you an insight into the businesses processes and procedures
    • Our training is all completed remotely via teams with a development coach who will be available for support 24/7
    • You receive 20% off-the-job training during this apprenticeship which is included in your weekly working hours
