Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Marketing Apprentice to join our well-established and successful Business Development and Marketing team. You will support the Marketing and Communications department with daily tasks, contributing to the team's efforts to work efficiently and effectively across all departments within the business.

Work

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work

  • Adding content and images to the company websites
  • Scheduling of social media posts, utilising the third-party platform for social media management
  • Assist with developing engaging content for use across all digital platforms, including writing social media posts
  • Creating and populating internal and external marketing communications
  • Updating the company SharePoint/intranet
  • Provide design support to the marketing team
  • Designing and developing company branded presentations (PowerPoint, Sway)
  • Attend and support marketing meetings
  • Provide administrative support to the department as required
  • Support business development with data insights and reporting

Other Key Result Areas:

  • Assist in the planning, creation, and execution of digital marketing campaigns
  • Support the creation of marketing content, including blog posts, social media updates, and newsletters
  • Ensure content aligns with brand guidelines and messaging
  • Support the marketing team in coordinating marketing events, and promotional activities
  • Ensure and maintain consistency of brand messaging across all platforms
  • Provide creative input during brainstorming sessions for marketing campaigns
  • Actively participate in learning opportunities and training provided by the business
  • Develop a good understanding of marketing principles, digital tools, and industry best practices

Course contents
  • Develop or interpret briefs for external or internal stakeholders and measure delivery in-line with the specification and agreed timelines
  • Plan and coordinate a marketing activity using marketing tactics to acquire and retain one or more customer segments using available resources.
  • Contribute to the generation of innovative and creative approaches across video, images, and other formats, both online and offline, to support campaign development.
  • Use research/survey software to gather audience insight and/or evaluation to support the project.
  • Use copywriting techniques to write persuasive text/copy to meet a communications objective ensuring it is in-line with organisational brand guidelines.
  • Build and implement multi-channel campaigns across a variety of platforms, either offline or digital media.
  • Proofread marketing copy ensuring it is accurate, persuasive and is on brand.
  • Use software to design and create marketing assets to meet the technical specification.
  • Contribute to the research of external suppliers to support recommendations and procurement of marketing goods and services.
  • Organise offline and digital assets ensuring they are co-ordinated and legally compliant.
  • Use a website content management system to publish text, images, and video/animated content.
  • Create and maintain spreadsheets to support marketing activities such as project/budget planning and organisation of marketing assets.
  • Use technology and software packages to support day to day activities, e.g., stakeholder communications, development of briefs, data analysis, report writing, presentations and project management.
  • Identify and use data and technologies to achieve marketing objectives.
  • Monitor and amend campaigns to meet budget requirements including time and monetary costs.
  • Review campaigns regularly to ensure effectiveness, to optimise the results.
  • Measure and evaluate campaign delivery to identify areas for improvement.
  • Use data analysis tools to record, interpret and analyse customer or campaign data.
  • Your training plan

    • Training is delivered in the workplace with a mixture of face to face and remote sessions
    • Duration: 18 months practical period, plus 5 months End Point Assessments
    • Qualification: Multi- Channel Marketer Level 3 Standard

    Essential qualifications

    GCSE in:

    • English (grade 4)
    • Maths (grade 4)
