Work

Team leader for construction workers:
Duties include:
- Supervise construction activities
- Manage teams
- Ensure safety regulations are followed
It's about keeping the site organized and productive. You’ll learn leadership skills, safety management, and construction techniques.

Course contents
- Identify risk of activities and encourage all employees to demonstrate safety-conscious behaviours.
- Assess, identify and record the environmental impact of projects.
- Assist in the implementation of the most appropriate solutions for construction projects.
- Use effective management principles and be able to supervise construction workers.
- Understand overall plan for project and measure and record progress against plan.
- Assess and report on quality standards and assist in commissioning of finished construction projects.
- Understand financial and legal constraints and measure and record progress against budget.
Your training plan
- Construction Site Supervisor Level 4 Apprenticeship Standard
The following qualification will be gained:
- A Level 4 qualification in Construction and Built Environment that meets the knowledge requirements of the standard and is approved by the industry’s recognised professional bodies meeting the educational requirements for Technician status or the equivalent level of membership
- English and maths; apprentices without level 2 English and maths will need to achieve this level prior to taking the end-point assessment
