Lloyd's Register are looking to recruit a hard working candidate to join their team as a Laboratory Technician. You will work toward a level 3 Laboratory Technician.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
To carry out preparation and testing on submitted samples within the working system, as directed by the Laboratory Manager & Shift Supervisors. This will include; all testing and preparation activities, using both basic and advanced instrument techniques for which they are trained.
Performing sample preparation to a high standard and in accordance with established procedures and maintaining accurate records.
Carrying out data entry of sample information onto the laboratory management system as and when required by the Day Supervisor and/or Laboratory Manager.
Performing sample analysis to an acceptable standard and in accordance with established procedures and maintaining accurate records of testing and sample observations and calculations.
Ensuring all work carried out in the Laboratory follows the agreed procedures as set out in the local Management system.
Advising the Laboratory Manager and/or Shift Supervisor of any practical, operational or QHSE issues that arise during the working shift.
Producing result / reports for samples tested and input of sample results into the laboratory reporting system.
Producing result / reports in line with the objectives set out by the Laboratory Manager and/or Shift Supervisor.
Undertaking any additional miscellaneous duties, as directed by the Laboratory Manager and/or Shift Supervisor.
