Summary
An opportunity has arisen for an Apprentice Housekeeper to join our professional, caring, friendly team on Critical Care. Previous experience as a housekeeper in a hospital setting is essential and the working pattern will be Monday to Friday. You will complete customer service practitioner level 2 apprenticeship during your contracted hours.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
- The role of Housekeeper is vital for the smooth running of the department, and you will be responsible for supporting the nursing team with non-clinical tasks:-
- ordering patient's food
- help maintain a safe, clean, comfortable environment for patients and staff.
- Be part of a team for monitoring, ordering, and managing the storeroom supplies to ensure that the department is kept well stocked.
- Be responsible for escalating appropriate environmental and equipment issues to the relevant departments.

Other requirements
This role will involve using cleaning equipment and could involve moving items such as beds, cupboards and pushing meal trolley's across the site (from catering to ward areas). The role is cross site and you will be required to work to our new hospital, MMUH.
