Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
- 1:2:1 for a super student with SEND
- General TA duties such as photocopying lesson plans, assisting the class teacher in lesson times
- Helping with Horticulture duties (planting, harvesting)
- Walking and snuggling pygmy goats
- Assisting student during outdoor forest walks and nature reserve visits
- 1:2:1 or small group lesson delivery such as arts, crafts, baking, functional skills Maths and English
- Helping with reporting and parent meetings
- Helping to deliver any therapy as suggested and taught by professionals including physio, movement, SALT
- Helping students to stay happy and regulated in a low demand enviroment with the freedom of choice

Training will take place on site at our beautiful classrooms in Dunnington. Any classroom based work and evidence can be completed on Friday afternoons during non-teaching time.

About this company
We opened as an Alternative Provision in January 2023 and have now successfully opened our own Independent School for 15 students which we envisage will grow over the next few years. We are passionate about students with SEND and work hard to deliver an education that puts their wellbeing at the forefront of everything that we do.
