Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
- Liaise and support the Centre Manager to ensure the efficient operation of the reception office
- Answering phone calls, supporting community group users and visitors, taking function and childcare bookings, allowing access to approved visitors and centre users, as well as invoicing responsibilities
- Basic cuties such as filing, typing, copying, binding and scanning
- Maintaining records of transactions undertaken in an honest and trustworthy way
- Data processing and being able to follow the General Data Protection Act
- Ensure the operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements and calling for repairs
- Duties may be amended from time to time for the continued wellbeing of Heaton Community Centre
