Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
Watkins is committed to the training and development of all their apprentices. We aim to produce the highly skilled workforce needed for the years ahead. Provided you are enthusiastic and willing to work hard, you will get the training and support needed whilst working towards a Level 3 Assistant Accountant qualification.
Tasks will include:
- Subcontractor document validation, processing & payment
- Employee expenses approval checking & payment
- Company credit card processing
- You will also assist with subcontractor verification and compliance and Finance administration
- Other tasks will be assigned as knowledge of the department and our financial processes and procedures increase

Essential qualifications
GCSE in:
- Maths and English (grade 4/C or equivalent)
- AAT (grade Pass)
