We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and proactive individual to work within the Automotive customer service/parts sector. Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm. Will be required to attend college in Armthorpe, Doncaster one day each week 9:00am to 4:00pm.

Work

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work

  • The successful candidate will be trained in all aspects of a high level of customer service
  • will be trained in all aspects of working in a busy parts department
  • will be answering customer questions on the telephone, email, ebay, social media and WhatsApp
  • will be trained to use our custom in house software
  • will be trained in the use of various systems to locate parts for customers
  • will be trained to create detailed timely quotes for customers
    liase with internal departments to respond to customer enquries to resolve any issues that may arise

Course contents
  • Use a range of questioning skills, including listening and responding in a way that builds rapport, determines customer needs and expectations and achieves positive engagement and delivery.
  • Depending on your job role and work environment: Use appropriate verbal and non-verbal communication skills, along with summarising language during face-to-face communications; and/or
  • Depending on your job role and work environment: Use appropriate communication skills, along with reinforcement techniques (to confirm understanding) during non-facing customer interactions.
  • Depending on your job role and work environment: Use an appropriate ‘tone of voice’ in all communications, including written and digital, that reflect the organisation’s brand.
  • Provide clear explanations and offer options in order to help customers make choices that are mutually beneficial to both the customer and your organisation.
  • Be able to organise yourself, prioritise your own workload/activity and work to meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrate patience and calmness.
  • Show you understand the customer’s point of view.
  • Use appropriate sign-posting or resolution to meet your customers needs and manage expectations.
  • Maintain informative communication during service recovery.

    • Doncaster GTA is an independent training provider based in Doncaster and Sheffield. GTA has been delivering training to apprentices for the past 50 years in the motor industry and has the best pass and progression rates in the country
    • You will work 4 days each week in our company in Rotherham where you will gain and hone your skills, knowledge and behaviour
    • You will work alongside our highly skilled apprentice mentors
    • You will attend Doncaster GTA one day per week
