Summary
We have an exciting opportunity to join our Children and Young People's Services at Suffolk County Council as an Apprentice Administration Assistant. You will undertake a range of administrative duties to support frontline teams whilst completing your apprenticeship qualification.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
Working as part of a team, you will:
- Provide a range of administrational and financial support services to front line staff that work with vulnerable children and families
- Receive full training in the systems and processes required to complete the role
- Act as a first point of contact on the telephone for members of the public and professionals getting in touch with the teams you support
- Update and upload information to our case management database
- Arrange and minute meetings between staff, other professionals, and families
- Place orders with suppliers to support the work of the teams.

An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.
