The team provides clients with best-in-class financial viability, regeneration, valuation, affordable housing consultancy and agency advice. The successful candidate will be working within one of the country’s largest specialist development viability consultancy teams, on some of London’s development schemes and large strategic schemes nationally.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
An opportunity for a bright, ambitious candidate to join the Development Viability Team based in London.
The apprentice will support the Development Viability Team, within Savills London Residential Development Department.
They will get involved in a wide range of interesting projects, enabling the role to be varied or more specialist should the apprentice prefer. Innovative and proactive thinking would be required alongside a strong initiative and motivation to contribute to the team's success.
Day to day work
- Research activities and information gathering from web databases, colleagues and other property professionals outside of Savills – e.g. property sales data, planning applications and policy information
- Development Appraisals using industry software, for valuation purposes and financial viability assessments
- Supporting work for desktop and formal valuations, focused on affordable housing
- Report writing and reporting to clients
- Attending client meetings with other team members and colleagues
- Maintenance of team information databases
- Supporting the team in agency projects, facilitating the sale and purchase of affordable homes
- Liaising with all departments with Savills and external teams
The long-term potential is for the apprentice to become a MRICS qualified surveyor, having developed their skills working in a market leading team. The individual would be client facing over time and therefore communication and interpersonal skills are very important. They will also need to be proactive, energetic and willing to learn.

5 year training programme (Level 6 Apprenticeship), which includes a part time undergraduate degree (4 years) and an APC training programme (2 years, enrolled at the beginning of your 3rd year at University) leading to become a Chartered Surveyor with an RICS qualification.
On the job training is provided to ensure all the required knowledge and experience is obtained throughout the apprenticeship to qualify successfully.
