Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
As a Peer Support Apprentice, your duties will include:
- You will ensure that we are able to provide specialist, tailored support to enable service users to make positive changes and give us the knowledge and resources to be able to reach and engage people with a range of needs within our communities
- You will support the building, developing and strengthening of sustainable peer-led recovery support and communities across Dorset, whilst working towards a recognised qualification in Adult Care
- You will ensure that you have a “whole person” holistic focus, with an understanding that services need to include all areas of wellbeing, not just substance use, to achieve the best possible outcomes for every person

Your training plan
You will study the level 2 Adult Care Worker Apprenticeship, as well as completing our in-house training programme. This will earn a level 2 Diploma in Care qualification, alongside Functional Skills level 2 in English and maths if required. Training delivery method to be confirmed.
