Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
- Support and engage with various parts of the organisation, interacting with both internal and external customers.
- Contribute to organisational efficiency by supporting functional areas, working across teams, and resolving issues as required.
- Utilise multiple IT packages and systems to perform tasks such as writing emails, creating proposals, executing financial processes, and analysing data.
- Produce accurate records and documents, including emails, letters, files, payments, reports, and proposals.
- Make recommendations for improvements and present solutions to management.
- Maintain records and files, handling confidential information in compliance with organisational procedures.
- Exercise proactivity and good judgement in decision-making, seeking advice from more experienced team members when appropriate.
- Build and maintain positive relationships within the team and across the organisation.
- Communicate effectively through various channels, including face-to-face, telephone, writing, and digital platforms.
- Complete tasks to a high standard, continuously improving work and sharing administrative best practices.
- Manage priorities and time effectively to meet deadlines, taking responsibility for initiating and completing tasks.
- Organise meetings and events, take minutes, and create action logs as appropriate.
- Manage resources, such as equipment or facilities.
- Apply project management principles and tools to scope, plan, monitor, and report on projects.
- Apply problem-solving skills to overcome workplace challenges.
Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to influence and challenge appropriately. - Represent the organisation or department when answering questions from internal and external parties.
