They will be trained to program and operative CNC and MC machinery working under the supervision of the Ferrite Machining Specialists. Monday to Thursday from 9.00am - 5.00pm and Friday, 9.00am - 4.30pm. A flexible approach to the working hours will be required. Sometimes working patterns may vary e.g. 7.00am - 3.00pm or 11.00am - 7.00pm.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
The successful candidate will be trained, following machine shop safe working practices and procedural guidelines, to program CNC and NC machinery.
Key tasks will include (but not limited to):
- Operating NC and CNC machines
- Carrying out detailed test procedures
- Creating CAD drawings and managing the CAD database
- Carrying out day-to-day tasks of the machine shop
- Working to the machines job schedules
- Managing stock of machine tools and work holdings
