Summary
We have an opportunity for a welding and fabrication apprenticeship role with a local company. You will be expected to carry out the work safely and meet the exact quality standards that are demanded in a fast paced and efficient processing environment.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
The successful candidate will shadow a skilled fabricator, benefiting from their many years of skill and expertise and, work towards being able to (but not limited to):
- Using various tools and machinery by following health and safety procedures at all times
- Measuring and marking of the steel for cutting or drilling following design specifications
- Fabricating jobs from drawings
- Welding using multiple methods such as MIG and TIG
Other duties will include, keeping the workspace clean and tidy and other ad-hoc duties where required.

- Level 2 Diploma in Manufacturing (knowledge and skills)

Learning will take place in the workplace with the need to attend training with NSEGTA.
