Summary

Cherry Tree Kennels is an animal boarding and day care facility for dogs, cats and other small animals. We are looking for an enthusiastic, animal loving apprentice to join the team to help support with the day to day running of the kennels. You will be walking dogs, washing animals, plus much more.

Work

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work

We are an animal boarding and day care facility with spaces for 140 dogs, 25 cats and other small animal boarding and day care facilities.

We are looking for enthusiastic animal loving apprentice who are keen to gain a Level 2 Animal Care apprenticeship. They right candidate needs to love being with animals and work well with within the team.

Jobs will include:

  • Cleaning kennels
  • Walking dogs
  • Washing animals
  • Feeding
  • Giving medication
  • Keeping the facilities and area clean and tidy

Must love animals, be flexible, hardworking, like shift working. Due to shifts and limited public transport at certain times please ensure you can arrive on time. Working well within a team absolutely a must.

If the right apprentice gains good grades and fits in well with the team, there would be the prospect of full-time employment and always opportunities for further their careers.
