Summary

We are looking for someone who will be doing CNC Machining/Automation/Fabrication/CAD CAM/Design/Assembly as we design and manufacture an array of products for the Rail and Aviation industry.

£16,225 a year

Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you’ll do at work

You will be learning then doing:

  • CNC Machining
  • Automation
  • Fabrication
  • CAD CAM
  • Design/assembly

We design and manufacture an array of products for the Rail and Aviation industry.

From setting and programming a CNC machine to welding or Assembly each day could be different depending on the training path and needs of the business.  

No 2 days are often the same.

Your training plan

Engineering Technician Level 3.

You will be trained by Cambridge Regional College and work mentor.

In your first year you will be in college two days a week and then three days in the workplace, then in year two and three you will be in college one day and work four, and in your last year you will be fully in the workplace.

GCSE in:

  • English (grade 4 or C)
  • Maths (grade 4 or C)
