Summary

A Customer Service/Telesales Apprentice is required. You will be working alongside our Business Development Team to generate interest with construction companies in relation to training.

Wage

£15,704 to £25,396.80, depending on your age

Company appraisal system. Potential to earn a target related bonus . 1 days additional days holiday for each year worked for the company capped at 5. Potential for hybrid working once passed probation period.

Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you’ll do at work

  • Supporting the Business Development Team, generating interest with construction companies and other interested parties with an introduction to Workforce Skills Support through the means of cold calling, follow up calls, email marketing campaigns, promotion of our services through advertising and networking events
  • Building and maintaining relationships with clients and providing an effective link between the client and their Business Development Manager, excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential
  • Creating and maintaining effective relationships with external training providers and other external partners
  • Liaising with 3rd party providers for suitable dates and locations and negotiating agreed discounts and maintaining our central tracker
  • Creating, chasing and processing booking forms
  • Updating the CRM system and central records
  • To provide additional ad-hoc support where applicable as directed by our Business Development Team
  • Any other duties as deemed necessary by line manager

Course contents
  • Use a range of questioning skills, including listening and responding in a way that builds rapport, determines customer needs and expectations and achieves positive engagement and delivery.
  • Depending on your job role and work environment: Use appropriate verbal and non-verbal communication skills, along with summarising language during face-to-face communications; and/or
  • Depending on your job role and work environment: Use appropriate communication skills, along with reinforcement techniques (to confirm understanding) during non-facing customer interactions.
  • Depending on your job role and work environment: Use an appropriate ‘tone of voice’ in all communications, including written and digital, that reflect the organisation’s brand.
  • Provide clear explanations and offer options in order to help customers make choices that are mutually beneficial to both the customer and your organisation.
  • Be able to organise yourself, prioritise your own workload/activity and work to meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrate patience and calmness.
  • Show you understand the customer’s point of view.
  • Use appropriate sign-posting or resolution to meet your customers needs and manage expectations.
  • Maintain informative communication during service recovery.

Your training plan

Level 2 Customer Service Practitioner Apprenticeship Standard.

West Notts college are proud to be able to offer a sales pathway on the customer service practitioner apprenticeship which is specifically suited to those starting out in sales environments. 

This is a work based programme, all your learning will take place during working time and on work premises. There are regular workshops available for you to attend that will support your learning. You will attend these in person at the designated training campus.

  • You will experience a blended learning model
  • You will gather learning evidence, journals and off-the-job records using your e-portfolio
  • At the end of the planned learning period, it will be agreed that you are ready to enter 'Gateway' and for your End Point Assessment to be arranged
