Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you’ll do at work
Your main duties will include:
- Engineering Manufacturing Doors and Windows
- Using lean processes to reduce waste and to help the environment
- Use of a CNC machine, programming of the machines
- Manufacturing to customer specific specifications
- Potentially some fabrication and welding
- Manufacturing from scratch, creating customer specific orders

- Plus Functional Skills Level 2 in maths and english if required
- You will be trained in the workplace by a highly skilled mentor alongside your Hull College Skills Coach who with help support and guide you to become a skilled employee
