About this company

On the 1st September 2016, we became part of a multi academy trust known as the Wessex Learning Trust. The trust comprises 16 schools within the Cheddar Valley geographic area. Our philosophy at Wedmore Academy First School is simple - to provide children with a safe, secure and happy learning experience. Working alongside pupils, their parents and carers, we not only seek to give our children a sound educational grounding, but to stimulate and challenge them and enhance their self-confidence. We value the whole child and it is important to us that our children learn self worth and feel secure in the belief that what they feel matters, what they say is heard and that what they do has consequences for themselves and the people with whom they live, learn and work. We teach each child to value and respect the views and rights of others in the school and in the wider community with which we maintain close links.
