Work

The successful applicant will be trained to carry out the below responsibilities;
- Production and manufacture of components
- Reconditioning of engines
- Assembly of components
- Working to quality and standard checks
- Preparation and organisation of work area - ensuring all equipment meets standards to operate
- Always working to Health & Safety guidelines

- The qualification the apprentice shall receive at the end of the apprenticeship will be the Level 2 Engineering Operative Apprenticeship Standard qualification
- Day release will involve attending SBC Training in Shrewsbury one day a week
- Skills, Knowledge and Behaviours - Learners and employers will have a range of options to select from that cover each knowledge module of the apprenticeship standard
- Functional Skills in maths and English - These provide practical skills to help gain the most out of work, education and everyday life. Learners will complete written and online tests
- End point assessment - The End Point Assessment is the final stage of the apprenticeship. It comprises written and practical tests as well as a professional dialogue and interview
