We are looking for an enthusiastic administration apprentice to join our finance team and to help support the volume growth that the company has had over recent years.

Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you’ll do at work
- Generate Customer Statements twice a month and prompt follow-up of any missing invoices or any queries raised by the customer
- Daily file uploads from Boughey & Romac working in conjunction with Customer Services to check for delivery errors before the file is processed
- Assist the Credit Control Team with collecting monies to terms. This will involve query investigation, account reconciliation and chasing customers for overdue monies
- Day-to-day management of the Purchase Ledger inbox. Sorting invoices, statements and queries and directing them into the relevant workflows
- Processing of Stock Invoice Headers and daily GRNI report generation which is forwarded to the appropriate departments to assist with timely invoice processing
- Assist the Purchase Ledger Clerk with invoice processing and approval workflows and provide holiday cover to maintain workflow
- Provide holiday cover for the Customer Services Team, ensuring that customer orders are processed in a timely manner and workflow is maintained
- Be responsible for the raising and issuing of the Proforma invoices
- Cover inbound customer service calls
- Assist the Management Accountant with maintaining customer price files in MTMS

- Recognise and rectify routine errors, escalating as necessary.
- Plan and review accounting and finance tasks.
- Communicate with stakeholders to deliver accurate and timely results, avoiding jargon, using language tailored to the audience and different media methods with an appreciation of the risks and benefits to the business of social media and other digital applications.
- Use finance and accounting software packages to accurately input and manage data to contribute to routine accounting tasks.
- Handle data and digital technology in line with cyber and data security requirements, using data securely and safely, including backing up data.

Our AAK Foods manufacturing facility, located in Runcorn in the North West of the UK, produces a vast range of ambient mustards, condiments, sauces and dressings for our own Lion brand. We also manufacture a number of private label products for leading foodservice wholesalers, buying groups and major retailers.
