Summary

we are looking for an enthusiastic person to join our wonderful furniture company to learn the art and skill of finishing and polishing through the level 2 general furniture manufacturing apprenticeship. You will also learn and understand the principles of wood machinery, joints and assembly

Wage

£15,311.40 for your first year, then could increase depending on your age

Monday - Thursday, 7.00am - 4.00pm and Friday, 7.00am - 12.00pm. 10 minute break daily and 30 minute lunch break Monday - Thursday.

Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

  • Learning all aspects of the finishing and polishing process
  • Learning about the equipment  and spray guns used
  • Understanding the principles of wood, machinery, joints and assembly

  • Qualification will be General Furniture Manufacturer Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard
  • All training will be carried out on our site at High Wycombe in the factory
  • One day per month an external trainer will visit for specific training
  • One day per week will be spent on the computer doing course work

Desirable qualifications

GCSE or equivalent in:

  • English and Maths (grade 5)
