We are recruiting for an Information Management Apprentice, giving you a fantastic opportunity to grow and develop your skills whilst working at these historical sites.

Work

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work

To provide end user support for key applications including HRP’s M365 SharePoint environment and digital asset management system   

To provide flexible levels of support to the Information Management team across all information management activities   

Whilst studying towards your apprenticeship you will also be:  

System support   

Provide technical support to end users in an efficient manner, escalating with relevant staff when necessary and maintaining communication with end users   
Provide one-to-one coaching for users of specific applications including our Digital Asset Management system; M365 SharePoint including document libraries, communication pages and other related applications   
Build and maintain SharePoint sites to HRP’s standardised templates and requirements   
Document actions to ensure clear audit trails and progression of issues   
Develop documentation and training materials for various audiences   
Manage user account administration and permissions   
Engage with HRP teams and stakeholders to help HRP maximise the use of M365 to meet business needs and increase productivity   
Support and coach users in the use  of standard office applications in Microsoft 365 applications and its records management related features   
Undertake data analysis to evidence use  
Provide end user training and support

Team administration support using a variety of tools   
Manage intranet pages under the Information Management team’s remit (departmental pages, Technical Hub, People Hub)    
Provide regular articles promoting Information Management and technical education for the HRP intranet   
Attend bi-monthly Information Management team meetings   
Other duties as assigned

  • use digital resources to extend own knowledge and skills relevant to their role
  • risk assess the organisational impact of decisions that they take
  • use digital systems to identify productivity and performance improvements
  • use digital technologies to operate effectively as part of a team, and with other stakeholders, enabling sharing of information and best practice
  • maintain system security in line with organisational policies.
  • support digital operations or digital change and transformation activities.
  • investigate application problems and enable resolution to maintain productivity and improve quality of service.
  • coach and guide stakeholders to develop their applications skills to use digital systems effectively.

Level 3 Digital support technician apprenticeship, including Functional Skills in English and maths if required.
